My Story

Hi, I’m Egle — the florist and grower behind Bloomhead.
Originally from Lithuania, I’ve lived in the UK for nearly 20 years. With a background in the arts, I naturally approach floristry as a form of creative expression — working with colour, texture, and movement.
After gaining experience with a range of florists, I set out to create something more aligned with my values — a style that feels close to nature, slightly wild, and led by the seasons.
Bloomhead is built on that idea: thoughtful, natural floristry with sustainability at its core.

The Studio
Based in Blackhall Mill, Northumberland, Bloomhead is a small, independent flower studio rooted in seasonal and sustainable floristry. Open since 2022, it’s where all our work is created — from everyday bouquets to weddings, farewells, and workshops.
Alongside fresh and plenty of dried flowers, the studio offers a curated selection of thoughtful goods from local makers and beyond, including cards, home fragrance, handmade ceramics, gardening tools, and more.
A space to browse, slow down, and take home something beautiful.
The `Garden
Seasonal, locally grown flowers are at the heart of Bloomhead. I work with trusted British growers and also grow a selection of flowers myself on a small plot just on the outside of the village.
During the British growing season, much of what you’ll find in the studio is locally sourced. Outside of it, I carefully select imported flowers — always choosing the best available while keeping the same natural, garden-inspired style.
Growing flowers is an ongoing, hands-on process, full of learning each season. It’s a privilege to work so closely with nature and to bring that into every arrangement.
